Building Capable Responders for the Environments That Matter Most
Mountain Training Network exists to improve wilderness medicine education through practical instruction, professional partnerships, and operationally relevant training systems.

Our Mission
Mountain Training Network exists to raise the standard of wilderness medicine education.
We believe better outcomes begin with better information, better instruction, and better training experiences. That's why our curriculum is built on current, evidence-informed wilderness medicine principles, taught by experienced educators with real-world medical and operational backgrounds, and reinforced through realistic scenarios designed to improve critical thinking, decision-making, and long-term skill retention.
Our mission is not simply to certify students. It is to develop capable responders, stronger organizations, and more effective educators who can perform confidently when resources are limited and the stakes are high.

A Higher Standard of Wilderness Medicine Education
MTN courses are built around current, evidence-informed wilderness medicine principles and taught by experienced educators with backgrounds in emergency medicine, search and rescue, outdoor leadership, field operations, and professional response. We continuously update our curriculum to reflect evolving best practices, ensuring students receive training that is both current and operationally relevant.
Through realistic scenarios, practical decision-making, leadership, communication, and patient care exercises, students develop skills that translate directly to the environments where they work, lead, and respond. Our goal is not simply to certify students—it is to develop capable responders who can think critically, adapt to changing conditions, and perform effectively when it matters most.
This commitment to high-quality instruction has earned MTN and Capital City CPR hundreds of five-star reviews from outdoor professionals, public agencies, industrial teams, and emergency responders throughout California.
